We would like to take a moment to honor the life and contributions of Dr. Don Way who, in 1953, opened the doors of Markham Veterinary Clinic and who served this community’s pets with faithfulness, great care and conviction until his much-deserved retirement in 1999.
Dr. Way passed away at the age of 99 years on December 6th, 2022. He will always be in our thoughts as we work to keep his dream alive by focusing to maintain his level of commitment, sincerity, and dedication to the field of veterinary care and to the people and pets of Markham.
We are making a donation to OVC Pet Trust in his honour. This organization is the first of its kind in Canada dedicated to the overall health and wellbeing of our beloved companion animals. Our deepest condolences to Dr. Way’s loving family.
