Markham Vet Clinic Named #1 By Readers Choice

March 6, 2017

We are thrilled to announce that we have been voted the #1 Animal Hospital In Markham! The readers of the Markham Economist & Sun have chosen us as their favorite veterinary clinic for their Readers’ Choice Awards 2016. The section will run Thursday, March 23rd.

We are truly honored by this recognition, and want to extend our thanks to all of our clients for allowing us to serve you. As your Markham, ON veterinary clinic, we are dedicated to providing the best veterinary care around.

2016 marks our 65th year of caring for Markham’s furry, four-legged residents. For decades, we have worked hard to provide the absolute best veterinary care possible. We understand that pets are part of the family, and do everything we can to keep our patients happy and healthy, and to fill our community’s homes with purrs and tail wags. From grooming to boarding to house calls and end-of-life care, we do all we can to go above and beyond for pets, and strive to offer excellent, compassionate care for our animal friends at all stages of life. Choosing a pet to feature in our Pet of The Month Spotlight can actually be quite challenging: our adorable patients are all special to us! We are touched to see that our commitment to the people and pets of Markham has not gone unnoticed.

Community means a lot to us here. We believe very strongly in giving back, and have participated in many different fundraisers and events that are aimed at helping strengthen and preserve our community. Over the holidays, we took part in the Markham Food Bank Donation, which helps provide food for the needy. We also participate in the Farley Calendar Fundraiser every year. The Farley Foundation helps pets whose owners have difficulty providing veterinary care get their animal companions the treatment they need. The program helps seniors, disabled people, and others on limited incomes keep their pets healthy. Since 2007, the Foundation has also helped pets who belong to women and children who are at risk of abuse. This program is truly near and dear to our hearts, and is a wonderful way for us to help both people and pets in need. We also want to contribute to keeping Ontario beautiful, and were happy to participate in the Adopt-A-Highway Campaign. Our efforts for this were recognized in Trend Magazine in August 2016.

Dr. Loo and the staff of Markham Veterinary Clinic want to extend a sincere, heartfelt thanks to all who voted for us. The honor of being named the number one Markham, ON animal clinic is truly special, and one we do not take lightly. We also want to thank the community of Markham. We have been here for you since 1951, and we look forward to providing many more decades of excellent service.
